Union Chief Justice attends the 17th Conference of Chief Justices of Asia and the Pacific

Nay Pyi Taw, September 25

 UNION CHIEF JUSTICE U Htun Htun Oo attended the 17th Conference of Chief Justice of Asia and the Pacific which was held in Tokyo, Japan from 19 to 21 September 2017.

         

Present at the Conference were the Chief Justices and the Delegates of Asia and the Pacific countries and discussed about the Strengthening the Functions of the Judiciary, Enhancing Public Trust, Court Efficiency, Role of Courts regarding Recent Family Issues, Improving Human Resources in Courts, and Role of the Chief Justices.

 At the Conference, the Chief Justice of the Union discussed on the Improving Human Resources in Courts and the involvement and participation of Myanmar Judiciary.

 During the stay in Japan, the Chief Justice of the Union had the separate meetings with the Hon. Itsuro TERADA, the Chief Justice of Japan and H.E. Yoko KAMIKAWA, the Minister of the Minstry of Justice of Japan and discussed on judicial cooperations and upcoming activities.
