The Hon. Htun Htun Oo, Chief Justice of the Union, received Lord Neuberger, the President of the UK Supreme Court

  The Honourable Htun Htun Oo, Chief Justice of the Union, received Lord Neuberger, the President of the UK Supreme Court, at the Supreme Court of the Union at 2 PM this afternoon.

         

  During the meeting, Chief Justice of the Union discussed about the functioning of Myanmar Judiciary at the Supreme Court of the Union and subordinate courts at different levels, the role of women in the judiciary, judicial appointment system, the implementation of the Three Year Judicial Strategic Plan, and so forth.

         

  The Meeting was attended by Justice U Tha Htay, Justice U Mya Thein and Justice U Aung Zaw Thein of the Supreme Court of the Union, as well as the Director Generals and Deputy Director Generals from the Office of the Supreme Court of the Union and the Office of the Union Judiciary Supervision.
