Workshop on Level 1 Legal English Proficiency Course for Judges

Workshop on Level 1 Legal English Proficiency Course for Judges was held by the Supreme Court of the Union at Royal ACE Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw from 1 to 5 June 2015 in collaboration with the Singapore Ministry of Law.

 

    

 

The Workshop was conducted under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Singapore and the Supreme Court of the Union of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The objectives of the workshop are to develop Legal English skills for legal studies, Research and legal cooperation to Myanmar Judicial Officers. Mr. Kyaw Saw Lynn, the Head of Department (HOD) and an advisor of Student Leadership and Management in Anglo-Chinese Junior College (ACJC), Singapore, performed as an instructor for Legal English development in the said workshop.

Altogether 25 judges and judicial officers from the Office of the Supreme Court of the Union, the Office of the Judicial Supervision of the Union, the Office of the Chief Justice of the Union and the District Courts and Township Courts were attended at the 5-day long Workshop.
